Could you benefit from this type of location consulting?  Here are a few examples of common scenarios:

CLIENT 1:

A couple from out of state was looking to move to an area near Raleigh to be closer to family. They were interested in a small town with a strong community feel, walkability, and local events. Initially, they thought Wake Forest would be a good fit for them, but after discussing their budget, we realized it may not leave them with enough to enjoy themselves. So, I took them to a variety of small towns within a two-hour radius of Raleigh to get a sense of the different areas and help them narrow down their options. The couple ultimately found several towns they loved and were unaware of, such as Warrenton. I helped them further by directing them to drive by listings, talk to neighbors, and visit local venues to get a feel for the town. That is how it works. If it’s an area I service, I will handle the purchase myself. If not, I will refer them to 2-3 of my vetted Realtor partners in the area. Each has a different style and business plan. My clients would then interview these partners themselves and pick the one they are most comfortable with. Then I will stay close in contact throughout the transaction aiding the other agent whenever needed. 

CLENT 2:

These clients were local and have frequently vacationed at the beach and wanted to purchase a beach property. However, they were uncertain about which beach would be the best fit for their needs. I shared my personal experiences at various beaches and connected them with people who own or frequently visit other beaches. After a few days of discussing and educating the client about different beach options, I recommended that they visit the top few that matched their preferences and requirements. As with client 1, I also chose a referral partner and stayed closely involved in the transaction.

CLIENT 3:

This client was moving from out of state and had a short list of must-haves that easily fit into my local knowledge. I invited them to come for a short visit and took them to a few towns that matched their needs and wants, showing them a variety of listings that helped them narrow down their town of choice. While they were in town, I not only showed them homes to get a feeling of what their budget could get them in each market area, but I also showed them the local amenities such as shopping, dining, and socializing. Then, I was able to work with the clients electronically and virtually to secure them a home. I handled the entire transaction myself to ensure that no stone was left unturned and any problems that arose could be handled without undue stress to the clients.
